Bio:
Mr. Rocheleau received his M.S. in Applied Communication and B.S. in Communications/Media from Fitchburg State University. He also holds an A.S. in Business Administration from MWCC and has studied electrical engineering at Southeastern Massachusetts University and MWCC. He holds a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Technology/Engineering Education from Fitchburg State University, a STEM Educator Certificate from the STEM Education Center at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and three VEX Robotics Certifications from Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Academy. Additionally, he has studied engineering management at SNHU. He holds a professional teaching license in Technology/Engineering 5-12 with a Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement.
Prior to becoming a teacher, Mr. Rocheleau spent 16 years as a video systems engineer. During this time he designed and built multiple broadcast production vehicles as well as live and postproduction television broadcast facilities. He also maintained, repaired, designed and constructed audio and video equipment for broadcast use. Additionally, he was responsible for managing and training staff members as well as providing educational classes and programs in audio and video production to countless students and volunteers of all ages, thus sparking his passion for teaching technology and engineering here at GDRHS.
Mr. Rocheleau is the advisor of the FIRST Robotics Team known as the “Robotomies”, the Film Club, and the Architecture Club. He has been teaching at GDRHS since 2013.
In his free time he enjoys off-roading in his Jeep, biking, kayaking and watching Battlebots.
